She Found Style

an attempt to discover my sense of style in one year and learning more about myself than I ever imagined along the way

Style is Much More Than What You Wear: a Miessence Giveaway

I’ve come to learn that true style is the sum of many factors including how I treat my body, nurture my soul, and love others.  While this style education deals mostly with what I put on each day, these other things are much more important.

I’ve dealt with serious skin frustrations for the last ten years.  It’s only been recently that I’ve discovered the effect dairy has on my skin.  Since quitting all things dairy, my skin has finally begun a healing process – slowly but surely.  I’ve been working from the inside out making sure the foods I eat are nutritious and healing but I’ve begun to branch out and seek ways to nourish my skin from the outside in.

Recently my friend Erin introduced me to Miessence – an all-organic skin care line by Australian company ONEgroup. This company takes very seriously what they put on skin – more than any company I’ve ever seen before.  So seriously that not only do they provide me with a complete ingredient list for each product but the ingredients they use are healing and nourishing for my skin.  I have yet to find one evil ingredient in any of the products I’ve looked at.  That’s hard to come by.

The other night, a handful of my friends got together to play around with Miessence scrubs, cleansers, serums, masks and makeup.  As soon as I entered Erin’s home, I felt like I had just stepped into an Aveda salon – yummy herbal and soothing smells everywhere.  I loved the consistency and texture of each product I tried but even more so the essential oil ingredients made each application an aromatherapy session.  Yes please.  Actually looking forward to cleansing my face?  Yup!

Good news today!  I think this company is totally awesome and would love to spread the goodness.  Erin is generously giving away one Tahitian Breeze Roll-on Deodorant to introduce one of you to Miessence.  If you’d like to participate in this giveaway follow these steps:

  • Head on over to her site and check out all that Miessence has to offer.  Come back here and leave a comment telling me what product caught your eye.
  • For extra entries, spread the word via Facebook and Twitter linking back to this post – just leave a comment letting me know you did so!

Good luck and the winner will be announced on Friday, January 20.

  3. A friend of mine that moved to Australia brought some facial scrub from this company when she came back to Canada to visit. So awesome and smells so good. To be honest, I would love to try all of their skin care products.

I am very interested in the cleaning products and if they work on granite, wood, and tile? 😉

  5. Wow, I have never heard of this company, but it looks amazing! Of course the first thing that caught my eye was the baby line, in particular the Baby Bottom Mist, but then of course I was drawn to the Firming Eye and Neck Serum (I’m not getting any younger, and with a newborn, well…).

Thanks for introducing us to her product line!

  6. Ooh, the Purifying Mineral Mask sounds perfect. Can’t believe I’ve never heard of them either!

I’ve tweeted and added via Facebook too. 🙂
